This Privacy Policy explains how Pulso ("Pulso," "we," or "our") handles information when you use the Pulso iOS application and this website. We built Pulso with privacy in mind and collect only what is necessary to provide the tuning experience.
Information We Collect
Pulso does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or other direct personal identifiers to use the tuner. The application may receive the microphone permission status provided by iOS so it can determine whether audio input is available.
Microphone Usage
Pulso requests access to your iPhone microphone solely to detect the pitch and frequency of the instrument sound you play. You can grant or withdraw this permission at any time in iOS Settings. Without microphone access, the tuning features cannot analyze sound.
Local Audio Processing
Audio analysis takes place locally on your device in real time. Pulso does not record audio, store audio recordings, or upload audio to our servers or any third party. The live audio signal is used only to calculate tuning information such as note, frequency, and cents deviation.
Accounts and Personal Information
No account is required to use Pulso. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not use your microphone input for advertising, profiling, or identification.
Future Third-Party Services
Pulso does not currently rely on third-party services that receive your audio. If we introduce a service in the future that changes how information is handled, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and identify the service, the information involved, and the reason it is used.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements to Pulso or changes in legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown on this page. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate in-app or website notice.
